What does the Devil have to do with it?

Growing up, I often heard the phrase “between the Devil and the deep blue sea”. Presumably it meant something like being between a rock and a hard place. I always smiled when I heard it, thinking to myself, “No dilemma there. I’ll take the deep blue sea!” I have no desire to be anywhere near anything that could be classified as “the Devil”. I will still take the deep blue sea every time.

So why another blog? Because I would like to have a place to share daily thoughts with readers in general, and since most of my blogs are thematic, I suppose you could say the deep blue sea of these thoughts are the theme for this one.
